My Review of SnagIt:

I chose to do my review on SnagIt, a screen capturing software that easily allows the user to capture images, documents or just about anything on their screen and edit it at a later time.  This tool gives you the ability to create unique projects in no time at all. This tool can be used in both the business and educational settings and everyone can quickly learn how to use SnagIt with a limited learning curve.  It didn’t take me long to learn how to start capturing images or making videos.  In my opinion, this is a benefit to all parties from a productivity and engagement standpoint.
I feel that in addition to using SnagIt to improve your project or reports, it can also be used in a training or coaching capacity.  The software allows users to capture their screen as they work through the day or a screenshot.  This could allow for feedback or coaching opportunity from the educator or manager at any time.  It also allows the user to review their own work and get instant feedback without involving anyone else.
This tool can also be used for training new material or improving users knowledge around a certain task.  I feel that one benefit SnagIt could offer learners is a no pressure environment.   This software allows for material to be recorded in advance and played back anytime.  The user can take their time learning the material and recall any steps by just rewinding the video.  In my opinion, it could also help with employee and student confidence when learning new material as well.
Some challenges that the user could encounter is the complementary version limits how long you can make a video.  It is also only valid for fifteen days, so if you need something long term, you will have to pay the price ranging from $49.95-$29.95 depending on your industry.

Overall, SnagIt will allow you to improve your next project, presentation or online blog.  I would recommend it to anyone that needs a good screen capturing software and wants to use something for a short period of time and try out the free version.  SnagIt could be useful for teaching any subject in K-12 or higher.  Not only can this be used by your educational staff, but it could also be used by marketing or advertising departments as well.  Why not get a leg up on creating the next big thing, try this software out and see what you can create.
